How can I delete .dll files ?

In my niaivity I tried to copy XP to CD. It was obviously too big but
made a copy in a temp file. I've managed to delete most of it from
the temp file but certain files such as some .dll deny access. Those
I have managed to delete appear to be stuck in me Recycle Bin.

Hi Adrian,
Please start the computer in Safe Mode by Tapping F8 key while booting.
Now you can delete all the .dll files.
