Hi i got a problem but i cant find the answer myself :S
i need to configure a laptop of a co worker of mine he traffels a lot
and needs to be able to acces the network of the company on diffrent
locations in different country's.
but he will be needs the same drive available at the different
locations for accample he needs the h: drive of that location.
it needs to be the local H: of the server he is on at that moment.

sorry fore the english i try :)

Try MultiNetworkManager a cheap Software in my opinion usally.
I've use it since 3 years for the same.

Try MultiNetworkManager a cheap Software in my opinion usally.

thanks for the solution but isnt there a way to tho the same with te
active directory of the local policy settings of the laptop or server?

Not really - H: is just a designation given to describe a mapping. So
at on site H: might be

\\servername\shareexample123\username

At another it might be

\\severname123\share\OMFG.

Even though they are still called H: at those sites by those people -
it could just as easily be called P or R or any other letter really at
one site and J or K at the other.


One solution is that you could write a little batch file for each
locationthat maps the drive

something like

First batch file called Location 1
Net use H: /delete
Net use H: \\servername\sharename


Second batch file called Location 2
Net use H: /delete
Net use H: \\servernameatlocation2\sharenameatlocation2

then the user can just click on the location he is currently at when he
logs on and it will map the drive for him (he may need to disconnect
the H: from the previous location but you could add that to the
beginning of the batch as I have above.

If the network setting for each location are different he will have to
reconfigure the laptop each time or use a program like the one
suggested above.
